ERTEMI
ERTEMI, is in the Lycian language. It was transferred from Anatolia to the Lucan Artami and from there to the Hellenic. She was the daughter of Lata, born in Ortygia near Ephesus. She bears all the characteristics of the Anatolian mother goddess in the cult statue of Artemisi of Ephesus. The most sacred place of the temple in the centre of Letoon, where she lived with her mother and brother Apollo, is the untouched rock mass in the sacred space. It alone symbolises Ertemi.
